As the title suggests, I am changing schools at Easter. I am currently on maternity leave but not returning to my old school.
I have signed and returned contracts confirming my start date and provided bank details, so I am not too worried about getting paid in the event that school isn't open on the 20th April. However, there is a possibility that in the uncertainty there could be some kind of delay in the administration and I'm wondering whether to contact the new school and say something which is a more polite version of, "Hi, happy to do anything to help with virtual learning, don't forget I need to be paid!"
Is anyone else in a similar position? Starting a new school mid-year is awkward enough without all of this uncertainty. As well as pay, I haven't yet been given a clear overview of my role and responsibilities, and I will also be doing a fair amount of teaching (the role is SLT) but haven't had a timetable through - in other circumstances this would be fine but as a new member of staff I can't picture how it's going to work.
To avoid a drip-feed - it's a multi-academy trust with a HR department.
