I feel very conflicted about this as I was so cross when the lovely sharing feel of TES was replaced by everyone starting to try and sell stuff- I shared work for free myself and grumpily never bought resources .
However here I am several years later and I could really do with making some extra money in a way that doesn’t push up my hours at school. I make lots of resources for my department anyway and our lab tech is an ex animator and we’ve done some memory aid bits together in the past. She is keen to see if we can do something together.
I’m presuming if she illustrates things copyright issues are negated?
Some one at work pointed out that the school have rights over work I produce while working for them. Is that true? Even if the bits I am making are done in my own time and done to be useful rather than because the school has asked me to?
I’ve seen suggestions to offer somethings for free and charge for others eg free worksheets to go alongside a paid PowerPoint. Also suggestions that workbooks with answers are most useful.
I’d really grateful if anyone has any experience or advice to offer particular about things I’ve probably not considered . Or anyone who actually buys stuff on TES - my subject is science , AQA board.
