Messed up my job application?

I am a secondary PGCE trainee.

I have sent off my first job application but I've realised now I have done it in the wrong format and I am kicking myself. The application had a space for a personal statement so I put everything I would put in my letter of application in that bit and then just attached a cover letter saying dear.... please find attached my job application.

Now I'm realising I should have still done letter of application and just put in the personal statement section 'find enclosed letter'.

Is this taken very seriously, will they even read my job application because my format is all wrong?

Seems fine to me.

If you’re applying for a maths job you could have photocopied your arse and enclosed it in the application and would still be considered.

You've done nothing wrong, really don't worry about it

Don't worry OP - honestly, what you have done is fine. We get applications in the format you have described and it's absolutely fine.

noblegiraffe that made me laugh out loud! Same for Science - we really struggle to recruit and we are a good school in a decent area!
