I'm currently doing a maternity leave cover in Year R. I'm really enjoying it and get on well with my 2 early years assistants. A couple of times this week, I've had to make decisions about a class issues and about a review meeting for a child. One of the EYAs has emailed the teacher I'm covering to ask her what she wants done/who to attend the meeting and then reported back to me. I'm going to be the class teacher until the end of the year and I'll settle the new intake in September, so the teacher on maternity leave doesn't really have a say for the rest of this year.
I'm not sure what to think of the EYA messaging. I've sort of nodded politely and obviously made my own decisions. Am I being unduly concerned? Just have an uncomfortable feeling I'm being talked about ...
