Do you have a safeguarding role and what is your approximate FTE annual salary? I'm currently applying for regrading of my role and need a bit of context please.
I am paid around £22k and am an assistant DSL in addition to pastoral care for nearly 500 high school pupils. In reality I am the first safeguarding port of call for all these pupils as the DSL has other responsibilities and teaching committments.

Shameless bump. Anyone?

What area of the country are you in? This role in a high school in Greater London would be around 30k.

South East

Our roles sound similar-ish and I'm on £28K near Oxford.

I'm on 26.5 in Herts.

Mid £20s is the norm for non teaching safeguarding posts around here. Non teaching heads of year tend to be around £18-22.

Other schools have DSL as an additional responsibility for a member of senior leadership.

21k (Fte, less as only paid 39/52) in a high school of 2000 where I am. (Non teaching pastoral role).

Amateur - are you one of the safeguarding leads?
