Recommendations for books on Primary School Teaching

I'm seriously considering retraining as a Primary School teacher in the next few years.
I know the best way to understand the role is to visit schools and shadow; but I'm not in a position to do this yet, I will be able early next year.
In the meantime are there any good books about being a Primary School Teacher, about the role, workload, how you plan etc that I could read beforehand, so that when I can go into a school for some experience it won't all be completely new and unexpected?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks - I've added it to my amazon list.

You’d be best off reading through current teachers posts than published books.

There have ben endless posts on here about what the job entails-have a good read through them. Join some teaching Facebook groups etc as well.
