An error in the literacy skills test mark scheme that has been in place for at least ten years means that thousands of potential teachers have failed when they should have passed.

Most of these have gone on to pass subsequently, but some will have been barred from teaching. Good thing we’re overwhelmed with teachers then. Hmm

It doesn't surprise me. I worked in editing and proofreading before entering teaching and would always find extra errors and would then get reprimanded by the software.
