End of half term and I'm ill

Due back in work tomorrow after the half term break and I feel like crap to put it bluntly!

Cold like symptoms, sore throat, swollen painful glands in my back looked in my throat but can't tell really whether there are signs of infection or not - one tonsil enlarged but can't tell if there is a yellow spot like thing on it. Some redness and a white spot on other side although it's hard to see as it's far back Doubt there's much point in going to GP as probably viral.

Can't believe it - I feel rubbish but clearly don't want to ring in sick the first day after half term.

Hoping I magically feel better tomorrow!

Poor you. I always get anxious about getting ill towards to end of the holidays - it's so stressful feeling horrid and knowing school is about to start.

But if you are ill, you are ill and it can't be helped. If you can, make sure your planning and resources are all on the school system, so covering you is easy, and then see how you feel in the morning. Nobody wants to catch your bug, or have you struggling through and then getting worse.

I've woken up still not feeling great and think I can see one or two white spots now in my throat Going to go in to teach my Y11 class, trainee is taking the Y8 and then I actually don't have any other lessons (Monday's is my quiet day) so will have another look at my throat and see how I feel - if I am struggling, I will come home and see the GP.

Fingers crossed I manage ok this morning - I really don't want my Y11 to have cover now.
