Or are you leaving it until later on? I'm moving to a year 4 class. Displays are mostly sorted and we're looking at planning next week.

Glanced over the register. Few transition meetings. Dug out a few books etc that I'll take home with me, as I'm moving classroom and will need them asap when we go back.

Why would you have your displays up?! Our cleaners get very enthusiastic during the big clean. They'll be wallpaper if they're up for Sept.

Also planning on drinking lots and cooking some lovely meals, with a significant amount of wallowign in the sun.

Displays aren't up yet but all the bits are printed and laminated so ready to go up. They won't be wallpaper- we've decided on our first topic (same as last year) and the displays link to the outcomes we want to achieve, key words etc.

I'm not planning on ding much in the holidays so hoping to get ahead now!

I’m off on mat leave a few weeks in, but my team have prepped all labels/ordering resources, gone through data and started to organise intervention groups, medium term planning for most subjects is complete and I think that TA timetables are mostly sorted.

I'm moving up to y6. I've stripped back my current classroom. The HT is reasonable and is letting us move things into new classrooms (just our resources onto shelving) this and last week.

I've looked at my class list and the groupings. And have had transition notes from the previous teacher even though I know the pupils q well from when they were in the yeargroup I am teaching now.

Display/working wall titles and materials made ready to go up asap. Tray labels etc made and laminated. My DC will come in with me on the first day of the holidays and help put stuff up.

First term's topic is being planned with the partner teacher in that yeargroup.

I have a general idea of how I want the furniture to be in the room, but won't 100% know if it will work until I'm in there in the hols, moving stuff around.

I've moved some furniture around and ordered a rug.
I'll probably sit down with SLT to take a look at organisation (timetables, planning) at some point when I'm back from holiday.
We don't have displays, so nothing much to do there. Might get some labels ready and have a think about how we sort out class rules, teaching groups (we're two teachers in one class) and general madness of the first few weeks. This is mostly because I'm changing quite a few things and my class are very much set in their ways.

First day of the hols and I am heading in there now to set up my new room. Yay.
