Tell me I'm not alone in despising them? I think they look so bloody ridiculous. At my school the really big ones are banned but the smaller ones slide under the radar. I genuinely don't understand why they're so popular, they're so stupid.

LOL Surprise Dolls!!! What is the attraction!!?

I'm not sure if this one is country specific, but Squishees!!!!! WHY!?

FIDGET SPINNERS.

For the record, no, I'm not green and I have never once stolen a major holiday or any part thereof Grin and there were a ton of fads that I participated in wholeheartedly as a kid that I would probably think unbearably stupid if they came around now. It's the perspective of a teacher who has a class to run that has tainted some of it for me. If I had a nickel for every bicker-fight I've broken up over BLOODY FIDGET SPINNERS... well, I wouldn't need to teach!

Share some of your own, please? Make me feel like I'm not alone lol.

We put up tennis nets for the kids to use in the summer and now there seems to be a thing of bouncing tennis balls on desks. Even more headache causing than bottle flipping.

Whatever the next fad is, please god let it be silent.

Can we all just be thankful that loom bands are dead Grin

I hate YouTube lol dolls channels, Tiana with the toys channel, adults dressed as super heroes and villains channels, etc etc! I mean seriously WTF oh and not to mention the opening toys and seeing what surprises are in them channels!!!

Coke/Fanta and sprite yo yos!!

@Sharonthetotallyinsane I remember Scoobies I think. Were they the soft coloured bands (that felt like they were made out of old tights) and you used your hands as sort of knitting needles to make them into things. A bit like soft giant loom bands and you used your fingers not a peg board?

Oooo.... how far back can I remember?

Pogs, more than once. Football cards. Loom bands. Snap on bracelets (thanks poppy appeal!). Tamogotchis. Diablos. Yoyos.

I actually quite liked the loom bands for their creativity and the fact that a great group of children would sit down in the gazebo on our playground and loom together, teaching each other tricks.

But I hated fidget spinners, bottle flipping - soooo many ruined water bottles and spills, dabbing and now the floss! Smiggle, with it's monstrously large pencil cases and bags along with their squishy water bottles that spray water out as soon as the lid is released can all sod off too!

And slime. Urgh.

Mustn't forget Warhammer figures, although I'm going back quite a bit there.

Plastic dummies were all the rage when I was at school in the 90s. There was another thing, can't remember if they were keyrings or charms but they were plastic and different things to collect like a tiny tennis racket. That description was so random but I just can't remember what they were! Grin
