Interview this week, but interested in another job...

I've been invited for an interview at one school this week, which I will be attending. But there's another vacancy at a different school that I want to apply for. The closing date for that is Monday.

I don't know that I'll get either job. I don't know which school would suit me best.

What do I do if I'm offered the first job this week? I can't ask for over a week to think about it, can I?

Both jobs are part time so, you know, hens' teeth and all that.

If it's relevant, the first school is a comprehensive and the second is independent.

WWYD?

Go to interview one. See what your gut feel is.

If it's not right, declare not interested at interview.

State Vs secondary is only relevant if it's the right school for you.

I don't trust my gut feeling, that's the problem! It's been wrong before!

Also don't want to shoot myself in the foot if the second school isn't interested.

It's hard.

I just didn't apply to my dream Indy school as the job advertised was full time and I want part time.

I did apply for part time elsewhere and loved the school at interview.

I'm actually really pleased. It's a step towards my goal. I need more experience in some areas before I make that jump

You may have to put all your eggs in one basket and hope you get it?

I just can't believe I have to teach year 7s! I've been teaching adults for the last 4 years!
