How much of what you do on a weekly basis is above and beyond your 'actual' teaching spec?

In addition to being SLT and guidance, I teach English. I should have eight non contact periods a week but I also have 1:1 classes and small additional support groups taking it down to three.

As well as this, I run after school English revision two days a week, supervise Breakfast Club for a further two days, and have just signed up to start supervising lunchtime 'Behaviour Club' (my school's alternative to detention) as well.

That's not including departmental, guidance, SLT and CP meetings.

I get paid for the 1:1 and support classes but clubs outside of school hours are unpaid and Behaviour Club will be too.

Eagerly anticipating getting DC in bed so I can pour a large G&T

Per week : One lunchtime and one after school club, totally unpaid, but appreciated by head. Two lunch time drop in support sessions. Another lunch i do a duty but get lunch every day for that ( I know the unions hate that but I don't see it as that bad a deal, 5 x dinners of my choice for 45 mins a week eg today they made me tomato and mozzarella salad, i had it with a freshly baked cheese tooped bread bun and a carton of juice, well actually i brought the carton of juice home) Numerous very late nights at inter school competitions associated with aforementioned clubs.

If you're SLT haven't you signed your ass over to the bit that says: "Whatever the fuck the HT requires'?
