Posting for a friend. At the end of this school year she will be qualified as a primary teacher. A few months ago she was offered a permanent post. Was emailed today that she was still being offered the job, but it would be days here and there, with a base school for in service days etc. Is this still classed as a permanent post? What should she do? Will it be a full time post? TIA

Sounds like she's being employed by a MAT academy. In the old days of teaching, a verbal offer and acceptance of a job was legally binding, but these days, who knows? So, officially, in 'old school' terms, if she was offered a permanent full time post, then that is what it should be, despite being spread over different sites. She really needs to phone and ask.

Thank you. She's going to speak to the woman who offered the job tomorrow.
