Hello , first time posting be kind ! I'm a level 2 ta and currently not classroom based but go where is needed . Interventions , cover, library that kind of thing. Our primary school has recently changed to an academy , by choice, and the rumours have started . I done a little bit of research last night and it does seem extra ta's are seen as a luxury and are often the first to be let go, if this trust is wanting cut backs . Have you any experience , anyone ??? Feeling slightly anxious about my future in the school and I so do not want to leave . Am I worrying for nothing . Please talk to me

I think it depends on the kind of academy. I've worked in two schools that have converted to academies (not been taken over by trusts, but taken finances etc in house) and there were no staff changes in either - well, no more than you'd expect in a 'normal' year.

I've not worked for multi academy trust so that might be different.
