Jobs after teaching

My DH is considering leaving teaching. What are the best careers to move into that retain similar rates of pay?

I guess it would depend on his subject.

I've moved into education outreach for a big corporation. There are also all the places that host school visits. I get the fun contact with children, but without the hassle. :-)

DM went to work in teacher training as a lecturer. Progressed up from there.

I left for a year and worked therapeutically with children in bereavement. Missed teaching though so went back!

Hi, when I left many moons ago, I started working with adults with learning disabilities and mental health diagnosis- from there I started working as a leaning and development manager, delivering management training, managing a team of training advisors and delivering training across the workforce. I loved every minute! Adults can be a little harder, because even though they get paid training, when they have to come in on days off etc, they are not happy bunnies. But it's great to see them enjoy training, and then implement it in the workplace.

Forgot to add, I don't know what pay grade you are thinking off, but I was on 45k at age 28, and I left teaching halfway through my NQT year basically for all the same issues as everyone else and mostly I wanted a life with my children!
