Do you still have HoD's?

In our school it's about to move to faculty heads, with lots of subjects under them, which presumably means the work will have to be done by the subject teachers?

A lot of jobs on TES are now being advertised as 'subject leaders'.

A bad thing, IMHO.

Certainly not in the students' best interest...

I am a HoD. I've been at the same school for 12 years, and in that time have been a Head of Department, a Learning Leader, and a Subject Leader. My actual job has never changed though and I am now back to being called a HoD.
