wwyd? Favouritism shown over lesson observations

I'm an FE tutor. We have our lesson observations due, and have been clearly told that we are each being given two days' notice of a two day window during which the observation will take place.

Today I over heard the manager tell my colleague (who she is very friendly with) EXACTLY what day and time she will be being observed.

I know that I sound childish, but I feel that it's really unfair. I haven't yet been given my notice (I'm expecting it tomorrow). When I do, would I be entitled to request knowledge of precisely when the observation will take place?

I don't know about being entitled, but I would just refer to your colleague being told exactly when and ask for the same information. If they won't tell you, then I would ask why it is different for your colleague.

You're right. I am likely to have a different observer to my colleague, though, but I think I will still ask the questions.
