How are the children feeling? Ours are noticeably tired and looking forward to Friday!
They've been really brilliant- even the most volatile children have been calm.

They've been absolute stars. Results will undoubtedly be below expected but for god's sake, 90% of the kids sitting the tests at ours have got English as a second or even third language!
This is why I get so ANGRY with the idea of children "failing" their SATs and having to re-sit in Y7. How dare anyone call a 10 year old Romanian child living in an overcrowded, bedbug-infested shithole, a failure for getting a level 3 in his SATs???
Rant over!!!

Mine were starting to look tired today. I had my first child having tears during the maths paper ......Sad

Ours were brilliant. Even the most vocal were focused and calm. Today was hell though!

I totally agree with ctrl, it's ridiculous. In a similar situation. Also resent that judgements are made on me as a teacher when a child who has been in the country for two months gets a 3 and therefore means my % are too low

Mine were calm and quite cheerful during all of the tests. They took them in their stride. Loved watching them actually apply the test techniques we had looked at. (Funnily, they know that they'll have to do CATs when they visit their secondary school and believe them to be much more important and accurate, anyway. I wonder, who has told them this kind of bollocks.)

Today was rather horrendous. :D They'd completely lost the plot. Never mind. We didn't do anything terribly taxing. Just meant I had to sort out several squabbles,...and wait a lot for children to be quiet and not interrupting me. Bless them. Wine
