Any KS4 Psychology teachers around?

Having narrowly avoided redundancy this year, I'm gathering myself to see if I can consider teaching another subject.

My original degree was Psychology - 20 years ago! I have never taught it at KS4 but am considering refreshing my brain and skill set.

Can anyone advise me please?

I teach in a school that has KS4 and KS5 students. We only have KS5 psychology though.

My degree was 19 years ago and 6 years ago I completed a PGCE in psychology.

Can I help at all?

Oh yes please!
I'm a MFL teacher but only by virtue of having that language as my mother tongue. My PGCE is languages. I'm toying with the idea of sidestepping across to KS4 Psych - or at least offering up that possibility to my SLT.
Could you tell me what the scheme of work is like? I'd have to write one myself as there's never been Psych at my school.
Huge thanks.

Do you work in a large school? In my small school there is no room for more subjects due to do timetabling issues.

I haven't taught KS4, just KS5 but those that I know who teach it like the courses. Of course there is a level of research methods, but some of that is covered in maths and the sciences. Topics such as attachment, gender and perception come up I believe. I love teaching psychology and it is a subject students seem to enjoy in my experience

Thanks ilove, I'd rather like to get back into it tbh.
Just got to get hold of a scheme of work now.
Am in Wales so it'll have to be WJEC.

Mostly My school has over 1000 pupils on our books so I'm hoping it's something the SLT will consider.
