Any PPA teachers out there?

I'm looking to apply for PPA jobs for September, and was wondering those who are PPA teachers at the moment what advice you might have about putting together the application? What would you focus on in terms of 'please give me the job'????? TIA

We don't have them - use cover supervisors, but I guess the skill set is the same e.g. Flexibility, adaptability, a working knowledge of a number of subjects, able to hit the ground running. Think of scenarios in which you've shown those skills.

I was a PPA teacher for a couple of years, the fact that I had recent experience of y1-6 was a key factor, that I could follow other teachers' plans with confidence and that I was as committed to the learning in each class as if it were mine. Including the differentiation and inclusion required.
For example, in two classes, I planned, resourced, taught and marked the science. In other classes, it changed from week to week and I worked in collaboration with the teacher.
You need to have a very wide skill set, be very organised and be not only adaptable and good at improvisation but be prepared to be very independent and motivated.

I did this after returning from maternity leave. I agree you have to be flexible and be prepared to cover any age group. My biggest concern though was when I arrived at 8am and HT would be waiting for me to ask me to go and cover in a completely different class because someone was off sick etc.
You can be used as a glorified supply teacher.
