Holiday pay question, becoming permanent after covering Mat Leave

I am currently covering a Maternity Leave but have been taken on permanently by my school so just wondered how it works contractually. My current contract is until the end of this term but HT did say at one point (months ago) that I would get paid pro rata over the Summer. Now that I am permanent would it be the norm for me to be paid for the Summer when I will technically be between contracts? Thank you

YOur local LA will tell them they haveto pay you over the holidays. Contracts for this term end on 31st August.

not necessarily im my experience, if you have one contract that expires eg on 21 July, and a new one that starts on 1 September you may well not get paid over the summer. I was taken on permanently after a mat leave contract and di not get paid for the intervening holiday.

PotteringAlong have looked through the contract but can not see any reference to when the contract ends.

I was transferred to a permanent contract when the person I was covering for returned, some time in July. So I was paid over the summer because I was starting then, and not in September. Check!
