Wishing Prince George well as he starts at Eton

Prince George looked so happy in the short video of him arriving at Eton today. Just wanted to post a thread, hoping others may join me in wishing all the best to the young man who may be our future king. I am not the biggest fan of the RF but I hope this lad has a good time in his secondary education and comes out ready for whatever trials and tribulations he will encounter in his adult life.

Absolutely! I loved the pictures today of him arriving and later the picture of him in his new uniform

And it's been reassuring to hear there are some other boys from Lambrook starting today so he will know a few of his fellow pupils

I'm just hoping William, Kate, Charlotte & Louis are ok and not missing him too much . . .

I will join the one other person here wishing them well. Its good that hes at a boarding school and only home every three weeks as he can be part of a community away from public eye and focus on studies.

Clearly I have spent too much time pondering it 😂 but it reminds me a little of starting my school - exciting but daunting. School friends do become like family at private/boarding school as you spend a lot of time together.

Prince George looked like he was taking it all in his (ever-elongating!) stride, which was good to see. He had already done some flexi boarding at Lambrook School so it might not be as daunting as it could otherwise have been.

Is George on Mumsnet? Or maybe his Mum is and can pass on your good wishes. She has lots of time on her hands for scrolling MN.
