Prince George at Eton

Can anyone explain why Prince George is boarding at Eton when the family home is just minutes away across the river?

I think it’s really healthy for a writer or visual artist to have “an ordinary job”.

How else will they find their subject matter if they don’t engage with the real world and their fellow citizens? When I watch Portrait Artist of the Year most of the professionals on their have other, regular jobs.

Yes exactly. Like any full time wfh job, you need to get out and interact with the real world or you become isolated. And as you say, to gather material and learn what makes people tick. And to acquire expertise that you can use in your writing. Write what you know, as the saying goes. A lot of writers have used their day jobs in their writing.

He might not be all giggles and laughter at ceremonial events, but nobody is at formal events.

@OliveMyLove - prompts used were things like “likely profession”, summary of posts. Put it through various prompts. It is pretty scary what it may come up with, depending I guess on how honest you have been/how many facts you have shared.

Which program did you use? I’m going to try it!

@OliveMyLove - start with ChatGPT and start asking it lots of different questions. You can ask about income bracket, profession, political leanings etc - it is quite scary really. Obviously not all of it will be entirely accurate.

But best news of all, sometimes the AI will accurately tell you if a poster username is a likely bot! That is the most fun part…
