Viral clip of Meghan being ignored by Serena Williams' mother in 2019 has resurfaced

Not too sure why this has suddenly been getting a lot of attention, but back in 2019 the Duchess of Sussex (Meghan Markle) attended the US Open Final which her friend Serena Williams was playing in. Meghan was seated directly next to Oracene Price, the mother of Serena Williams.

During the match, Meghan makes multiple efforts to try to capture Oracene's attention, but these attempts are either unnoticed or ignored by Oracene. A body language expert comments in the article that, upon realising the cameras are on her, Meghan performs a series of "theatrical movements" in an attempt to defuse the awkwardness of the situation. The body language expert also reports that Oracene's behaviour could be construed as a sign of pre-existing tension between her and Meghan. I think it’s because Wimbledon is coming up, Venus and Serena are playing, Meghan will apparently be In the UK, so she might cross paths with Oracene again.

It just looks like Serena’s mother was concentrating on the tennis. Nothing to see here really.

She quite clearly ignores Meghan rather rudely. I don’t think the rest of the Williams / Price family are as positive about Meghan as Serena is. Cf also Venus refusing to clap at that awards ceremony 😬

It's way down the page. The press love to dig out old stuff and yes it's related to the alleged upcoming trip. We've seen meghan like this before. She's like one of those malfunctioning Japanese robots.

Oh I saw that clip, I had no idea it was so old, I thought it was this week. And I don’t follow tennis so have no idea about there being no competitions currently (or there might be, I’m clueless 🤷‍♀️).
