New national security concerns revealed in AMW scandal

Lownie has today revealed a document from an intelligence source stating that American intelligence services identified Epstein as a Russian intelligence “asset” along with AMW.

And that AMW was not coerced because of his love for women, contacts and money.

It wasn’t clear whether AMW knew about Epstein’s Russian connections or not? I am assuming not? But having read everything else about Andrew, I am not entirely sure he would have the moral courage to turn down sex and money? So not sure?

I’m interested to know what others think?

Other national security concerns revealed include:

~ bringing Epstein along with him to meetings held while he was TE

~ passing government information on eg details of meetings with Chinese politicians to unauthorised third parties eg The Rowland family

~inviting prostitutes to the Royal palaces, some of whom had been groomed and coerced by Epstein eg he held on to their passports

~inviting other unsavoury characters to royal palaces, such as a Libyan gun smuggler, Epstein and GM, the latter had a free roaming security pass at one stage

~the alleged Chinese spy incident

Surely there is enough information to launch an official enquiry in to AMW’s activities now?

But can we trust the Met?

The FBI sent the Met a file on AMW’s activities back in 2022 and there has been nothing since!

It’s interesting to note that the senior policeman, Loughborough, was in charge of the diplomatic protection unit when two pp officers stayed with AMW at Epstein’s house after his conviction, is now personal secretary to Charles and Camilla!

Lownie more than inferred that this is the way the Palace works; they employ people who could possibly speak out about them, pay them off, or intimidate or strong arm them. It’s really quite sinister!

Btw, Lownie seems to suggest that he is being sent this sort of documentation because the intelligence services are furious as they feel they have been doing their job but have been shut down at every turn by the Palace?

Lownie has a book to sell and needs to keep it (and himself) in the tabloids. MI5 and MI6 are pretty crap, but they don't share information with people who need to know, far less somebody with a commercial agenda.

Ukisgaslit · 08/02/2026 17:36

They’ll be telling us next that Andrew wasnt required to be through normal vetting - because ‘royal’

1.Actually, Lownie’s book was already selling pretty well, and was at the top of the sales chart way before these latest allegations.

2.The source wasn’t MI5 or MI6, it was from US intelligence sources.

3.Lownie does not just feature in the tabloids! He is giving interviews to a range of news and broadcasting outlets.

I’ve no doubt that part of his agenda is commercial, after all it took four years and over 300 interviews and hours of rifling through documents to write the book. And he is now receiving death threats for his sins!

But he is also is a respected author, historian, and literary agent, with an academic interest in preserving historical records. Everything he was prevented from putting in the hardback previously eg the information about Mandelsohn has subsequently been proved to be correct.

Why are you trying to discredit him?

@Somersetbaker
Andrew Lownie deserves an honour for the service he has done this country in bringing the behaviour of the Yorks into the public spotlight. Mind you the honours system is so tarnished now who would actually want one.

Ukisgaslit · 08/02/2026 18:44

I’d add that Andrew Lownie had to mortgage his home to fund his court case to try to get redacted files about Mountbatten released

I hope he gets that expense back and more .

Emotionalsupporttissue · 08/02/2026 19:52

This all gets more and more sinister, the fact that AMW appears to be thick as
mince makes him a real danger , all he saw was money and young girls and didn't realise he was being used.

And it is exactly why him being protected and indulged by his family was so dangerous. The family apparenty dont talk to Harry in case he tells Netflix that he got 4 roast potatoes when everyone else had 5 but couldn't have cared less about openly supporting and having Andrew and SF in to bosom of the family while he was consorting with paedophiles and spies?

But can we trust the Met?

No. Any woman knows that.

From the list on the OP, does anyone know what crimes AMW would be accused of? How would they be different to what Mandelson is being investigated for?

So there are some people out there with integrity. That gives me hope.

Mandleson is at risk of being charged with misconduct in a public office for passing information onto Epstein that Gordon Brown wasnt going to be able to form a government in 2010. Something anyone with a calculator could have worked out. Andrew, while he was trade envoy forwarded information to Epstein about missions in Afghanistan within 5 minutes of receiving them, which looks like he didnt even read them- probably because hes too stupid to have been in that job and didnt understand them. That to me looks like the same offence, but a far more serious breach. You cant prosecute one thing without the other. My guess is that they wont prosecute Mandleson because they dont want to risk questions being asked about why they arent prosecuting AMW.

MeouwKing · 08/02/2026 23:40

I think they are now done.

I’m not sure!

Possibly malfeasance in public office?

Bog standard fraud?

Not forgetting trafficking of course.

I think the financial abuses will be much easier to prosecute because of the paper trail, but for the sake of the victims, I hope they can prosecute for trafficking too.

Or award them with something so you have them by the short and curlies. Like Loughborough. He is Lord Steward, an Earl and Private Secretary to Charles. But is hardly going to spill even half a bean.
Unless forced

MidWayThruJanuary · 09/02/2026 14:11

What a miscarriage of justice it will be if he prosecuted for sharing confidential reports with Epstein yet gets off scot free having had sex with trafficked women.

simpsonthecat · 09/02/2026 14:34

blimey, the comments section is brutal

As one says, this really is no different to Mandelson. When is the search of AMW's hard drive going to take place?

Emotionalsupporttissue · 09/02/2026 15:36

The late Queen really made a cock up making AMW a trade envoy, the bloke probably didn't even manage his own bank account let alone know anything about business. Their arrogance in thinking he could just waft in with zero knowledge and make a good job of it is astounding. Running straight to Epstein with information is actually no real surprise, the bloke is an absolute disgrace.
It just reinforces my belief that none of them have any idea about the real world, they exist in a bubble where they are accountable for nothing.

Yes it cost him half a million personal funds.

I feel that way about Bea, how can she confidently commercially advise etc?
