Can someone explain the origins and organisation of the “Sussex Squad”?

I keep reading about them here and I understand it’s a group of H&M (probably more M than H) mega fans who post misinformation and attack those they feel stand in the way of their idols but that’s as much as I know.
Any other information welcome please.

I always assumed they were the kind of people that post stuff about fake pregnancies etc. They choose a side, and it could be any side, and then go hell for leather until the next ‘cause’. I think in their spare time they’re quite busy signing up to the next MLM scheme or if they’re retired they’re busy collecting the latest collectible or buying everything on QVC.

If they becone an identifiable social- media presence in the same.way, they'll acquire one.

When I was on twitter, which is a couple of years ago now, there was a group of fairly intense Catherine fans. They were the ones pushing the Meghan was never pregnant narrative and other things that were clearly untrue. The Sussex Squad people (I call them that because many had Sussex Squad in their names or descriptions) called them the Derangers because they called themselves Kate's Rangers, again in their bios. Both 'groups' contained some people who posted really quite nasty things.

Harry and Meghan associate with some members of the SS though don't they? The Peace woman. They have been photographed with them. I don't think Catherine has ever endorsed Derangers, has she?

Yes Peace has shared photos and spoken in interviews about being invited by H&M to various events (Invictus St Paul’s Service) etc. But no idea if she is problematic - she has done a lot of work to fundraise and raise the profile of sickle cell anaemia.

Peace has said it is not her in the photographs.

Her comment that the press are the reason H is not in England makes me want to send all the editors a thank you card.
Not that it’s true though.
