AI videos of Prince Louis

I know people will say don't watch them etc. I don't know how these started popping up but when I visit YouTube which I do a couple of times a week for a couple of things I subscribe to, it is awash with artificially generated videos of Prince Louis dancing.

Now it's all very joyful, but what amazes me is the amount of comments underneath that don't recognise this is AI. There will be one lone poster pointing out its AI and Prince Louis would not be dancing like this in public.

I wonder in a way if no one cares because its publicity for the Royal Family. My main thought is that he's a child.

How do you prevent it? Do you think it is not important, if so why? What do you think if anything should the Royal Family do? Or should we just enjoy the videos and not care?

Actually I saw one of these the other day and thought how dangerous it is to create this kind of deep fake. They're not difficult to spot as AI fakes but it feeds the fire of idiots who like to diagnose children with special needs based on stuff they've seen online.

I hadn't thought of it like that. I was thinking that as a child it would be quite cringey later on, leads the way for bullying. Perhaps this may not affect a Royal but its deeply concerning that these fakes can be made, that they are easily believed. It could be any child (or adult).

I agree that this is a worrisome trend and I do have concerns about the blurring of the lines between truth and fantasy. I feel like the people who engage in making these sorts of deepfake videos have forgotten they are dealing with real people. It's manipulative and shows a sort of deadening of respect, a lack of understanding of what being human means. I don't think it's 'harmless' or 'fun' in the slightest!

I feel sorry for Prince Louis and his family. People are more than digital avatars and it should not be forgotten.
