Good Lord. If something happened to your children, I'm sure you'd have planned for that, as will they. What a vile thought and question.

Sauvin · 12/06/2025 06:47

I imagine they have appointed guardians in their wills, as have all parents, and they will go to them. Who they are, we don’t know.

Ddakji · 12/06/2025 06:55

Same as with anyone else, they will have appointed guardians. Who I doubt will be members of the royal family unless they are complete raging hypocrites.

CurlewKate · 12/06/2025 06:59

They will have appointed guardians. Or were you expecting them to return to the android factory they came from? 🤔🤔🤔

Foreverm0re · 12/06/2025 07:02

Probably in their wills to give them to Ellen or someone equally as awful.

Sherararara · 12/06/2025 07:03

I imagine they would shop elsewhere.

CrewOfTheRevenge · 12/06/2025 07:04

I read somewhere that King Charles has some authority over royal children meaning they can be kept in the Uk, so just wondering.

This is false. The US legal system would trump any Royal Perogative.

They are likely to have legal guardianship documents in place already, presumably for Meghan’s mother or another person/people who is close to the family to look after them.

MidnightPatrol · 12/06/2025 07:11

What an absolutely bizarre thread.

Why would you even think about this?

pilates · 12/06/2025 08:32

Strange thread, but imagine Doria.

Mylovelygreendress · 12/06/2025 12:31

Is it me or have there been some strange Royal threads recently ?
This one is rather distasteful.

Yep. This ranks up with another current one gleefully insinuating a child maybe gay.

Nonsense, they would be brought up by Oprah.😀

SquashedMallow · 12/06/2025 12:54

Well this is rather dark ... 😳

FlightCommanderPRJohnson · 12/06/2025 12:56

Harry and Meghan will have left instructions for this eventuality - I would imagine they'd be cared for by a family member in the states, so as to minimise disruption for them at what would already be a very traumatic time. Their grandmother would be an obvious choice.

PrettyFlyforaMaiTai · 12/06/2025 13:00

If guardians need to be appointed, it would most likely be Doria, unless there are concerns about her ability to care for them full-time. Otherwise, guardianship would probably fall to close friends or godparents chosen by the parents.

It seems very unlikely they’d return to the UK, unless someone like Tiggy Legge-Bourke/Pettifer had been specifically named as guardian and was willing to take on the role.

Also, not sure what’s going on with the tone of some of these threads lately. There’s a wave of posts that pretend to be concerned but feel more like thinly veiled sniping (this one, and the recent “gay heir” thread, which seems to be heavily implying things about members of the RF). The whole thing is… odd.

Mylovelygreendress · 12/06/2025 13:46

Unlikely to be Tiggy as she gave Harry a bollocking for Spare .

KnickerlessParsons · 12/06/2025 15:10

Doria I would think. The kids probably already know her very well

I don’t think it’s distasteful - everyone with children will have a plan for if both parents kick the bucket in a car crash or something.

I agree it’s none of our business though.

She didn't bring her own child up so maybe she's not the best person.

angelinawasrobbed · 12/06/2025 15:26

Eugenie?

Anyway, let's hope it never needs to be thought about except as an abstract will-making exercise.

Perhaps it's a bit similar to the one about George being gay 🤷‍♀️

imnottheOW · 13/06/2025 17:21

Doria or Tyler Perry I'd imagine?

Tripthelightfantastical · 13/06/2025 17:23

Tyler Perry? Really?
