Lovely engagement with Princess Anne who has been such a stalwart support to her older brother over the years.

The Life Guards and the Blues & Royals always excel at their ceremonial duties showcasing the UK at Trooping and at other national events.

King Charles and Princess Anne team up for a rare joint engagement following a historic royal first

The King and his sister were honouring the British Army's most senior regiments, the Life Guards and the Blues & Royals

I totally agree. Anne is, and always has been, a support to the monarch. I love her dedicated attitude to public service 100%. She rocks 💪

I also think when your parents are both dead your siblings are the only other people that really share and remember your experiences growing up.

I know the Crown made a big thing of Anne and Phillip being close but it was clear in real life during the later years how close Anne was with her mother - and you could see the depth of grief she felt during the coffin journey back to the UK.

Anne is amazing

Love seeing Anne in military garb. I know she never served in the forces, but she wears dress uniform really well. I love the hat.

She seems really supportive of Charles and that is lovely. I agree that losing both your parents over a short space of time can really bring siblings together.

The Princess Royal looks properly at home on horseback. What a brilliant spectacle.

She's amazing. Further and further down the Line of Succession, no complaints, not an issue, she's just carved out a very positive life for herself.
Plus, that plume did sterling work at the Coronation 👍 🪶

She is. There was a lovely moment at the late Queen's funeral when she stepped forward and said something, obviously to comfort him. Sweet. Or maybe it was "pull your socks up, man!" Who knows 😉.
She's great, though. Even when faced with an armed kidnapper.

Yes ! “ I don’t bloody think so!”
and still less security than Harry’s demanding !

DelectableMe · 14/05/2025 19:57

Man with gun "get in the car"
Anne "not bloody likely!" 💪

Don't worry! It's the same kind of remark!
Good point that she doesn't demand all the extra security paid for by the taxpayer, though

No she doesn’t! , I’m not aware of her complaining about her position in the royal family either!

DelectableMe · 14/05/2025 20:04

Or anything, Jeff!

🤣🤣 too true , Delectable!
although I hate to say this but I don’t think any of the royals have complained quite as much as Harry ! 🤣

DelectableMe · 14/05/2025 20:25

Well. That would take some doing. Shame it's not an Olympic sport. Talking of which... Anne is, of course, a former Olympic competitor.

I agree with you but during the coffin journey back to the UK?

The Queen didn't die abroad!

Oooh, that feather again.
