Well, you all called it. The next career move …is to go on someone else’s podcast to talk about a show she was on 10 years ago.

Two years ago she wouldn’t have done this. No way. She basically ignored the cast for years. However, it’s clear things haven’t panned out quite like she thought it would. She’s literally in the same place she would be, walking the red carpet in slinky red dresses and doing mates podcasts.

“We’ve reached out to everybody and said, ‘Come on as much and as often as possible,’ and then we’ll independently keep going back out, seeing what their schedules are,” he says, confirming that a certain Duchess, former co-star meghan Markle has also received an invitation”

Now remember she text to say how she could help?

“She sent a lovely text message when we decided we were doing it. Obviously, we informed the cast and said, “Look, guys, we really want to do this thing, and we are telling our stories. This is not about telling anyone else’s story.” Especially with Meghan, she’s had, obviously, such a crazy life since the end of the show, and she sent a lovely note in full support of the show and asking us how she could help. We’re very excited to see if and when there’s a crossover and we can do that”

“Our North Star with Meghan is, like I said, we are never going to tell anybody else’s story. We’re super interested in just celebrating what she did on the show. She brought Rachel to life in such a beautiful way, and that was such an important part of my experience on the show because Mike and Rachel are such a huge part of that journey for me. So, for our purposes, it’s just about celebrating that and completely staying away from anything outside of that. Hopefully, along the way, she’ll come and join us for a conversation. That would obviously be incredible”

Sounds like a dull podcast. They really seem to be milking Suits to the bitter end. Apparently everyone was watching it on Netflix, but nobody I spoke to mentioned watching it and my friends like a decent series to chat about. Patrick J Adams strikes me as a bit of a bore.

I remember Adams popped up a few years ago "supporting" and sympathising with poor abused MM online: just coincidentally, it was at the same time the remake of "The Right Stuff" was to be streamed, in which he had one of the leads. I honestly don't show if it was successful or not, but I think perhaps it was Markled. He just came off as a cheap and desperate opportunist.

Several times I saw the original which was wonderful: great cast, well written, great scenes, funny, satirical, and dramatic. The rather bland Adams played John Glenn in the remake, and I can't imagine him as a replacement for the truly talented Ed Harris, who even looked like John Glenn.

Remember he posted some unseen photos of Meghan during their Suits days on his Instagram and he had to remove them and apologise, LOL.

Doing podcasts about old TV series seems very popular these days. I liked West Wing Weekly, which is a few years old now. I tried the Bones one but it was more about the actors than the show and I got bored with hearing how they had lunch that week and what one of them said to a waiter. I want behind the scenes information and how they developed their characters, not what great friends they are still! There was one I listened to about a young adult show I liked and they have professionals who worked on the show on, not just actors and it was fascinating.

Anyway a bit off topic, I wonder where this one will covid.

Is Suits any good? Never watched it or met anyone who has?

Is anyone actually going to be that interested in this podcast? It wasn't exactly cult (Buffy, West Wing) where loads of people will have at least some investment years on.

Perhaps I'm wrong and thre are 100s of 1000s doing synchronised rewatches. Doubt it though and that's realism about the impact of the show and not a dig at Meghan.

I think it’s pretty obvious she will make an appearance. I wouldnt say more than once but still…..completely embarrassing.

The reason why she ditched the cast and crew before, was that she believed she was off to bigger and better things as a duchess. She dropped them. She didn’t contact them and wasn’t involved with them. How much of a friend is that? Don’t excuse her for not keeping in contact Patrick. She’s does damn fine keeping in contact with Oprah. Tyler Perry….and anyone else she thinks can shunt her up the Hollywood ladder.

But now, she’s reduced to doing this because she knows the grand plan of a production company that earns her millions is dead in the water. She will be on her new plan to convince how nice she is ….including visiting her old suits cast ….because she’s so nice and doesn’t forget the little people….before she launches her cooking show and ARO

But this is her back to the start of what she was doing before she met Harry. The imprint of how she hustled her way through the entertainment world hasn’t left her. She never had enough time as a working royal to know how to act royal…..so it’s back to Hollywood grifter mode

I have watched a couple of seasons, not at the time it was released but a few years ago. It was entertaining but it suffered from the same thing as every other series based on a limited premise (in this case that one character isn't a qualified lawyer but has a great memory and is working as a lawyer illegally). After a while you want more and I didn't find that the characters sustained my interest once I was bored with the premise. I found the same with Unforgettable.

Bones in contrast had characters I found interesting and they evolved the relationships to keep my interest after the premise became a bit boring.

I enjoyed the few episodes of Suits that I saw but it wasn't a top quality amazing show. Just gentle entertainment, which is often exactly what I want!

I still can’t believe that her longest running co stars who she’d been with for six years didn’t get invited to the evening reception at the wedding but bigger names who she’d never met before did.

Weren't some of Harry's oldest friends also not on the evening list?

That really showed her for who she is.

Plus its all more embarrassing for them because people like the Clooney's who were invited, despite them being virtual strangers, have since very obviously distanced themselves from H&M. But that's the hollow, fake world of Hollywood that Meghan spent her life chasing.

What's she going to talk about? That she appeared for an average of 90 seconds per episode, and spent much of that being sexually objectified? That her character couldn't pass the bar exam, but was arrogant enough to consider her self a shit hot lawyer? That her character was no longer required once Patrick J Adams decided to leave? Which doesn't say much for either the character development of Rachel Zane or the acting chops of MM.

Oh well, at least she inspired some stalwart's child to become a lawyer! 😂
