I'm glad Catherine did this, and - sorry if this sounds in bad taste - but I think Catherine having had/still having cancer must have given her a new perspective which will give her a deeper understanding of both cancer sufferers and people with difficult life challenges in general.

I like Catherine - I think she does a great job with sincerity - but, like most well-off people she may not have had much experience of life's struggles. I know her brother's problems have probably given her some insight too. Though it sounds harsh to say it, the last year or so will have given her much more depth in terms of understanding what some people go through and I'm sure it will show in her role in years to come.
