Thought I would start a thread here in the royal family area simply to say what the title says. Everyone, royal or not, has the right to privacy and respect. Everyone should be allowed to recover from surgery and come to terms with upsetting news without constant harassment.
On this page there has been thread after thread of ridiculous speculation. Perhaps now you'll leave the poor woman alone?
Or more likely, you'll continue childish gossip of affairs, arguments, and whatever else.

This is also a question for Mumsnet themselves. The conspiracies they have allowed have been disgusting, often from names that have never been seen in the board before. There should be a way of blocking bots.

Everyone?

I agree @mumsnet should do better at withdrawing the bots and meaningless speculation that adds nothing.

@skippy67 Yes, I believe everyone. Don't you?

A lot of us have been saying this all along.

But that didn't stop the conspiracy theorists

I think it depends on the person actually. I'm guessing the news from Catherine Princess of Wales prompted your post? I agree she deserves privacy and respect. But "everyone"? No.

MNHQ have done virtually nothing to halt the despicable and sickening speculation on so many ythreads regarding Kate and William. In my opinion this has demeaned MN - supposedly a forum that supports women hollow laugh
MNHQ should be ashamed of their lack of action, they’re clearly in danger of being viewed as being complicit in the whole sorry mess 🤬

Yet within minutes of said news being posted….here you are. Perhaps ‘everyone’ should be inclusive.

So was that farm shop video of her grinning and happy, was that her or not? Hmmm

HoHoHoliday · 22/03/2024 19:19

@Yeahyeahyeahsure I'm not doing anything to intrude or be disrespectful. I'm not feeding speculation on details of her health, I'm not casting assumptions or judgements on her life, I haven't made any accusations to fuel gossip. Yes, I started a thread in response to a statement Catherine issued herself, but I was clear to state I apply my view to everyone, not only one person.

I do not doubt your sincerity or reasoning. However, just judging by the ‘farm shop’ post above alone, it allows those that will the ability to continue with their rhetoric.

What are you on about? My brother in law has stage 4 Lung Cancer, and belive it or not, he's not always wailing and crying. Most of the time he behaves exactly like he always has.
