Buckingham Palace comms job

I have just noticed that they have a comms job advertised for Buckingham palace.

I do the same role in a rural area and they are offering the same wage for a role in central London which is ridiculous! Not to mention that the role would be really stressful given the issues with the royal family!

Surely the palace can afford to pay a living wage!

Can only imagine how you’d in turn deride them for paying above-the-market salaries out of tax payer funds to posh boys and girls to have fun playing at pretend jobs if they did pay more though.

Benchmarking is a fact of life in all jobs - public and private sector.

London Living wage is £25,624.50. So this is more.
Also it has a non-contributory pension scheme which means take-home pay is better than for those who have to make contributions.
