Time The Sussex Titles Were Removed

After today's revelations, where the Queen Consort has been reviled by Harry in his book (which has been released in Spain already) I think the King will now remove the Sussex titles from Harry and Meghan.

Not before time.

I mean I cannot see what possible benefit there can be for the titles to remain now.

The King also needs to clarify that the children of H & M will not get titles.

Parliament is needed to remove a peerage. The King can’t remove it.

Not sure Charles has the power to remove their titles. I certainly think Harry needs to be removed from the line of succession. But that would be difficult I think. Legally speaking.

Yes, it would require an Act of Parliament but I think the King needs to ask Sunak to get going on the subject.

It would need to be done through parliament. In the olden days a good old Act of Attainder would have done it. Strips them of everything.

They won’t be stupid enough to remove them because if you start saying you can’t be a wanker and a Duke where will that leave all the other Dukes?

Its a medieval thing. Essentially allows parliament to bypass the law courts and declare someone guilty of a crime e.g. treason. It was usually used against rebellious noblemen as it meant they then forfeited their titles and lands. Might be a bit extreme here though!

I really don’t think they’d care. They’ve been treated frankly absolutely appallingly by the family so I’m not surprised they wanted to move away. I would too.

Why do their titles need to be removed?

Also if the Sussex title is removed they’ll be Prince Harry and Princess Henry/Harry and that may be more saleable for them…
