Where do all the royals and heads of state stay?

Sorry, another trivial question...

All these foreign VIPs... given that Camilla probably isn't rushing round Buckingham palace finding sheets and making up beds (or anyone else for that matter) where will they stay? Hotels? They'll all had an entourage too...

The logistics of it all amaze me

Their Embassy.
A house they or their government already own.
Claridges.

A lot of the Europeans won't be staying overnight, they will come for the funeral and return home same day. Those from further afield will usually stay at their own embassy.
I read on the bbc that the heads of state are arriving at a west London airport and travelling together by bus to Westminster abbey. I suppose this is easier than coordinating several hundred cars, but can you imagine the responsibility of being that bus driver!

There’s already a thread about this

’you’ll never guess who I had on the back of my bus’

mind you wasn’t there a cock up at the Olympics in 2012 where one country’s athletes ended up being on a bus for hours before reaching their base? Felt sorry for that bus driver

Imagine the ones whose flights get in a bit earlier sitting on the bus waiting for the others to arrive, like they're on a package holiday 😂

Do you reckon they have a sing song on the coach? I bet that Albert of Monaco starts them off.

Ah the embassies, of course... thank you. Makes a lot more sense than in hotels for security reasons, if nothing else.

Thank you.
