Could someone advise the best place to park and is the Long Walk straight forward to find from there?
I don't know the area at all and would like to go and lay flowers this week.
Thank you for any tips

What times? We went this evening at 7pm, plenty of parking inspite of signs saying full.
We tried Alexandra garden's car park
.
Pleasant 10 min walk to the town from there.

@elizaregina
I think earlier in the morning probably with the dog!

We're looking to go tomorrow, probably get there about 3pm. Does anyone know if there are any restrictions now in place on the long walk, bearing in mind the Queen will be travelling that way on Monday?

If you look at the Windsor council website, the road closures are all detailed. I know people who have tried to drive there and given up.

Police have put up security screening and road closures https://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/news/thames-valley/news/2022/september/12-09-2022/screening---windsor/?utmsource=Facebook&utmmmedium=social&utmcampaign=Orlo

I live opposite the long walk, today has been busy but totally fine. If you park in the town centre car parks you walk towards the long walk and rather than going directly down park street to lay flowers you walk not that far down to brook street and head up the long walk from there. You can park in the great park or at Windsor racecourse and walk too, either not that far. There are coffee and food places on the long walk and loads of portaloos with no queues or all the places in town you can go.

I’m not sure why people have had issues going as no road closures yet. Today road traffic was so quiet so am guessing lots of people took the train in. Town and the long walk are busy but honestly no issues

The people (three separate lots) I know tried to drive from London and said they couldn't get close. I don't know why. I presumed road closures.
