Will anyone else be making the trip into the city? Details seems thin on the ground but I believe Charles and Camilla will be attending Hillsborough castle before an afternoon service at the cathedral, and a walk around writers square. I plan on taking the children as the eldest in particular is very aware this is a key moment in history and wishes to have the memory of seeing the king.

I'm not surprised details are thin on the ground.

Royal visits to NI are usually not announced in advance, for obvious security reasons.

I’ve lived here over a decade and I can’t believe that didn’t even occur to me, my goodness!

Makes sense now. Anyway, here’s hoping they have a wonderful warm welcome.

I think the only reason we know about this visit at all is because the plans have been made years in advance. Usually, the public doesn't' find out about royal visits to NI until their plane touches down in Belfast.

@PaddleBoardingMomma
Arrangements for tomorrow
King Charles and the Queen Consort Camilla will be leaving Hillsborough Castle at 14.20, travelling along Main Street and Lisburn Street to attend the Service of Reflection in St Anne's Cathedral, which will begin at 15.00.
They will come into Belfast City Centre along Wellington Place, Donegall Square North, Chichester Street, and Victoria Street.
Everyone is welcome to line the route.
The Service of Reflection is by invitation only and Writers' Square will be closed to members of the public.
Hope this helps.

I used to live very close to Hillsborough Castle and any time anyone was coming you'd know about it when you'd wake up in the morning to find cops quietly moving around and traffic cones everywhere, then the mobile phone signal and internet speed would be up the left so just be aware that you might not be able to rely on your phone around the areas where they will be.
