When will Meghan Markle and Harry go on to have their private life?

I absolutely cannot stand the sight of these two anymore. They have made a mockery of the BRF and the public. We were branded as unwelcoming and even racist not too long ago when they claim to be leaving the public eye for a more private life. Yet I seem to hear and read more about them than any of the active royals!

Trust me I am not the biggest fan of the royal family but it is absolutely beyond me why these two are allowed to go around flaunting their titles all the way in the US, talking about American politics, doing podcasts still chatting s about Britain and trying to teach us about our carbon footprint when none of us have a private jet.

I wish they would strip their titles so they can go on and live like the private citizens they so claim to want. I can’t think of anything more vile than trying to bring so much trouble to a 96 year old woman by even taking the Home Office to court. Give it a rest

I don't know enough about them to have strong feelings about them personally. I suspect that many of their grievances have some origin in fact, but agree go and have your private lives, if that's what you want, this isn't that.

@potteryshed unless you were posting mean racist things on social media about them or a cruel journalist writing cruel articles about them or maybe you were a part of the family that choses or at least in the past chose to send 8 year olds to boarding school then I guess they aren’t talking about you so maybe stop taking needless offence.

While obviously there is love there Harry’s family is also pretty seriously dysfunctional by any standards. Meghan did face racism as do other black women. They can speak out and say what they want as far as I’m concerned.

MM was treated like dirt in this country by the press.

I wish they would just go quiet, grow veggies and become as close to anonymous as possible though.

I suspect neither of them has an actual personality and so they both influence each other and not in a good way but I'm ashamed of the stuff our press wrote about her.

Who cares? apparently I'm not paying for them anymore, not sure about the non-sweating, second son who thinks he can treat women like objects and that the world owes him because of the accident of his birth.

Harry had the personality sucked out of him when he met Meghan. He was at one time the favourite RF member. Pulled a few silly stunts but we forgave him. Now they both seem.to wear faces like they are sucking lemons and keep waffling on about creating all these compassionate communities or such like. I don't think most ordinary folk have a clue what they are on about. Regarding losing their Titles, I believe much hangs on what's in the next book.
As for the non sweating Prince I reckon that when the Queen passes he will be quietly shoved into a dark corner and forgotten about

The thing is this is how they'll make money so we don't have to pay for them. They were never going to go work a 9-5 or do something useful. The deal is they sell little titbits of gossip, and add their names to random shite, then hopefully they get enough money to avoid doing Reality TV or having to take payouts from dodgy businessmen.

I don't blame them at all for leaving the UK for the US. I've said on another thread that I'd want to get well away from the Yorks too (although that's not why they went).

But their business model is predicated on them selling bits of their private lives, and I think that has been a massive error.

When they have rung the misery out for every pound they can make (or dollar I guess). Stoke fire and get paid to complain about the smoke. Why wouldn't they continue until we all get bored and stop listening? They make a fortune off victimhood.

Though I don't doubt Meghan was treated terribly by the press and Harry has some serious psychological issues. If you want to avoid being beaten by the press, stop talking! It isn't that hard.

THIS! The whole brand is based on being a victim and complaining about it in public. The problem is 1) I think Meghan may struggle getting roles in the future because she is seen as a somewhat toxic brand 2) you can only bitch about something for so long before people get bored 3) neither have much of a sense of self (from an outside perspective). Harry is "the child of the dead woman" and Meghan is - well I don't really know, probably a victim. When your whole family don't like you (or want to be around you) then I start wondering what that is all about.

The fact they call each other M and H (or Haz) is weird too. Its like they have changed their personas and merged together which screams a pathological problem with personality.

They have no talent except being ex royals. Meghan had been an actress all of three years before meeting Harry, she didn’t have a proper job till she was in her thirties. She managed deal or no deal for a few months and that was it.

They have royal life and the royal family so much yet are quite happy to make money out of their titles and association. It’s bizarre.

When people start ignoring them and stop posting threads about them, reading the tabloids, etc. Stop encouraging them.

Well they’ve (reportedly) made millions from this so maybe they will bank the money and get on with their lives?

I never knew Meghan was an actress for such a short time. She’s not a good actress anyway though so…

I do wonder what she’s actually done with her life. I know the humanitarian bits now and The Tig website but what else?

Yeah she did small cameos in her twenties and worked on deal or no deal for a few months. She was probably financially supported by her ex.

If you don't want to read about them, skip the articles. Try thinking something else, positive things. Focus on your own life, not their lives.

She was a ‘suitcase holder’ on a quiz show. And complained mightily about it too. Sounds like an easy gig to me.

I do wish they’d belt up though.

Everyone has family woes - most people don’t do an EastEnders slanging match Christmas special (and get paid shedloads for doing it). I have a friend who was sexually abused, have a relative whose uncle was stabbed by her aunt, and worked with a woman whose dad treated her poor mum terribly when she was terminally ill (and died very young), an alcoholic who tried to get her husband accused of child abuse (and was violent to him), oh and an alcoholic dad who almost killed his child when he had a car crash when drunk, etc etc etc - so talking very very very real family issues there.

At what point will Harry think ‘hang on a mo…’ because it does come over very much as her agenda as he sits and nods away. He was fine with the royal family when he was boozing and naked partying in Las Vegas wasn’t he?

But it’s everywhere - the BBC is covering it over nurses strikes and the war in Ukraine
