Do you think that official photos will be released of the christening?

No

They said it was a private event so probably not.

I don't know, is my answer.
I had wondered if it had always been scheduled for that day, or if it had been a bit of a moveable day, depending on how well the Queen was. As it was at Windsor I suppose any catering for refreshments was done by the usual castle staff anyway, and as it was on a Sunday afternoon that made it fairly easy for family and friends to be there.
Do you think it was a nice idea to have them baptised together?

EachandEveryone · 23/11/2021 09:53

Was grandpa there?

Goldfishmountainclimber · 23/11/2021 10:54

Yes, I did think it was a nice idea to have a joint event. I thought it was considerate to the Queen with her frailty. Saves her having to attend two very similar occasions with most of the same people present.

I wondered if they might publish a photo of the Queen with the two couples and their babies (similar to approach with Beatrice’s wedding) so getting around the Prince Andrew problem. But other posters may be right, private event so no pictures.

@EachandEveryone

Was grandpa there?
If you mean PA, I think so. I think I heard about it first on a radio news bulletin and I think it said a few names and his was among them.

I think they will probably put some photos out, they did for Beatrice's wedding. probably not the staged christening photos we are used to seeing and careful to crop Prince Andrew out!

I'm infected with a disease called 'I think'. Sorry.

Yamayo · 25/11/2021 14:04

It would be nice to have an official picture as it's probably the last time the Queen will attend a family christening.

WinnieTheW0rm · 27/11/2021 13:38

Baby Sienna is yet to be christened, so perhaps not the last. Though if course she hasn't been to all of those of her DGGC (she wasn't at Louis's and I think she's missed at least one other)

What would be nice is if there could be a picture of her with all her great grandchildren, plus one with all her descendants, but that might be hard to arrange

Maybe a token one for Christmas
