Big time. I hate the status and tax payers money that they get due to an accident of birth. Someone has to do the job. I don't think it helps that prior to any pregnancy she did sweet canny Adams and is seen as lazy. I don't dislike them as people are wish harm on them.

Hmmm, I probably don't know enough to have commented....maybe they wanted to buy them? Or maybe they're just doing the usual build them up to knock them down routine, much easier to do with a spouse than a blood royal.

I wonder if they are annoyed she is staying at home because her published pictures supply big click numbers for them.

Its such an odd situation - I reckon she is keeping herself tucked away to try and keep herself and her kids out of the lens: totally acceptable and understabdable.

Tbh though she has married into the royal family, she doesnt need to be a part of it yet. Her husband wont be king for a loooooong time so really she doesnt need to be in the publics interest. Alas, she is. Cant even pop for a pint of milk or to take the kids to the swings without a longlens or a sniped snap.

No wonder she wants to tuck away. Public appearances always result in "well she should be at home with them kids instead of getting Nannies" - maybe that is what she is doing?!

just read the article! they must think they can smoke her out of hiding by implying that she's a recluse. a 20 year old diana might have fallen for that but i doubt kate will allow the daily mail to manipulate her plans.

I'm no fan of William and Kate, but today's article in the Daily Mail was just awful..... very short on facts, but full of thinly veiled insinuations. I noticed it was written by Richard Kay, who had quite a close relationship(platonic) with Diana in that she would confide in him and give him useful tip-offs. Perhaps Kate won't play ball and this is his retaliation.

yeh. It smacks of that, trying to manipulate kate and then being pissed off that she won't play ball. reminds me of my xfil. he was quite 'complimentary' when he thought I could be manipulated. Then later when he realised I didn't care if he 'complimented' me or not he gave every single thing I did or said the most negative interpretation possible.

I do feel sorry for her, with the amount of venom aimed at her daily.

Having said that, I think they could do themselves a favour and just release more pictures of George and Charlotte and then maybe the ferocious competition to get a picture would wane?

There have been lots of pictures of George. His nannies couldn't wheel him round regent's park anonymously like prince williams nannies could.

I wonder if they could put him in an ordinary Matslan outfit and take him to soft play in wembley instead of going to a royal park? He might not get sussed then.

That article is hilarious. I can't believe they still write things like this, it's actually unbelievable...

But the UK press didn't publish those pap pics, did they? They were published on the Web (but not DM), and in other countries.

So I reckon that they're pissed off that Kate and william have broken the gentleman's agreement of a bit of access, in return for fawning articles, and they sent that letter condemning the Press. So the DM think that they've kept their side of the bargain, and still got slammed.

Plus, there is obvs appetite for the not-fawning articles. So of people click on them, there will be more of the same. I reckon that William is a petulant little work-shy brat anyway, so I quite like the snide articles.

I suspect W&C will find some pr spin and justify never doing as much as the older Royalty. Maybe they should just give up the throne and wealth, we can then muddle through and become a republic.
