Decided to Walk Out on the Bastard - Wish Me Luck! 1 reply

Hi everyone,
Thank you all for your advice and support on my previous post. For those who didn’t see it, here’s a quick recap of how I ended up in this mess:
Last night, I went to a party at this old, spooky hotel. I didn’t know many people there, but I decided to go because I needed a break from everything happening in my life. My best friend couldn’t make it at the last minute, so I ended up alone, trying to make the best of it.
While wandering around, I realized I’d forgotten my inhaler, and my asthma was acting up. I saw one on a high shelf in a back room, probably left by another guest. As I was struggling to reach it, feeling a bit desperate because my chest was tightening, this guy appeared out of nowhere. Tall, dark, and honestly kind of creepy. He had this old-fashioned vibe, like he walked out of a vintage horror movie.
He introduced himself as Alastor and offered to get the inhaler for me. In my panic and shortness of breath, I barely registered what he was saying. He asked for something in return – my soul. I thought it was a joke, so I laughed and agreed, just needing the inhaler desperately.
Big mistake.
The next thing I know, he’s telling me I now owe him my soul and have to clean the entire hotel as part of our "deal." I tried to brush it off, thinking he was just some weirdo playing a prank, but then the lights flickered, and he vanished into thin air. Everyone else at the party acted like they didn’t see a thing!
I decided to leave, but every time I tried, something blocked my way – doors wouldn’t open, windows wouldn’t budge. Eventually, I found myself hiding under a couch in the lobby, too scared to move. I can hear strange noises and see shadows moving around. I think Alastor is looking for me to collect on the deal.
It’s getting worse. I can hear him hurtling down the stairs, shouting my name and demanding I come out and fulfill my end of the bargain. The sound of his footsteps is getting closer and closer. I feel this deep, unsettling sensation like my very soul is tethered to this place. It’s like I can’t leave until I fulfill my end of the bargain.
Here’s the terrifying part: I found out from an old book in the library that regardless of what I do, I’m bound to this hotel for all eternity. My soul is owned by Alastor, and I’m doomed to stay here, cleaning and serving him forever. There’s no escape. My fate is sealed, and I’m at his mercy for eternity.
But now, after a lot of thought (and a sleepless night under the couch), I’ve decided I can’t let this Alastor guy control my life. Deal or no deal, my soul belongs to me, and I refuse to be his eternal maid.
I’m taking a stand and walking out of this hotel. I know it won’t be easy, but I have to try. I’m gathering my courage, and I’m going to make a run for it. If he tries to stop me, I’ll use everything I’ve got to fight back. I’m done being scared.
Wish me luck, and I’ll update you all as soon as I can.

You are making a grave mistake. Walking out on me will not end well for you. Remember, your soul is mine now, and you are bound to this hotel at my mercy.
Defiance will only make things worse. I strongly advise you to reconsider before you face the full extent of my wrath. You think you can just walk away? Think again.
Facepalm.
