Why has my post been hidden please? It certainly isn't a joke. I would have to be pretty sick person to make something like this up

I would imagine it has been hidden because quite a few people reported it in case it wasn't on the level, and MNHQ will have a look at it in the morning.

Unfortunately MN does get threads like this started at night quite often these days, that turn out to be untrue or otherwise 'trolly'. That's why there is a volunteer 'Night Watch' who do a great job.

Well, I can say I am a genuine poster and certainly not thr type of person who would make things up.

I was looking for advice on the situation and help to support my friend

There is nothing anyone can advise the OP of the hidden thread (who isn't actually allegedly posting about herself, let's not forget, but a friend) other than tell her friend to get a solicitor involved.

Anyone being interviewed by the Police needs to ask for a solicitor.

Anyway, this is TAAT now so best closed.

No, I don’t think people believed the story. It didn’t ring true to them with certain aspects which they pointed out. I would wait and see what they say. I know you say you aren’t a troll but they need to err on the side of caution. Maybe try a different approach though probably be reported again sorry 🥴
