More ageism - it's rife right now

I'm sick of the posts/threads claiming that older people are the ones being irresponsible about taking risks during the coronavirus. As anyone call tell you, from a look round the streets or the shops, there are just as many young people out and about as there are elderly, who seem to think that the new guidelines don't apply to them.

Please deal with this. If it was racism, or even sexism, it would be deleted swiftly. Why are ageist posts allowed to stand?

FWIW I do agree with you - the ageism can be shocking

it would be Night Watch duty to hide any personal and vicious ageist attacks from one poster to another, so if you see any of those, I'll hide them

Thank you, and I'm glad you agree! But - ageism is against Talk Guidelines, just as racism/sexism/disablism is. So why is it not within the Night Watch remit to delete these? I genuinely don't understand!

if it was a someone trolling the boards with ageist posts, I would hide those posts or threads. I mean, a deliberate, really nasty troll.
