Is anyone actually monitoring the boards tonight?

I must have reported at least 20 posts in the last five minutes - tons of threads full of 'fuck off you cunt' and variations of this theme.

How long are these personal attacks going to be left to stand?

The night watch don't usually take down personal attacks. They leave that for mnhq. They normally just deal with spam and pervert trolls.

I’ve reported loads. Fine to disagree and express strong feelings but the bile on a lot of threads is appalling.

Is there no way to lock the boards for a few hours until it all calms down? The aggression (, including wishing death on people) is atrocious.

I suppose given that Labour is losing then it would be their supporters that are fuming. But tbh if that's the level of speech of labourites then thank goodness they are losing. Hardly any have articulated why they feel the way they do, just sworn at everyone not agreeing with them. Pathetic

The venom, patronising comments and assumptions as to why people voted as they did surprised me after the Brexit referendum. It hasn't surprised me tonight but it does highlight once again how a lot of people seem to exist in a self reflecting bubble and are amazed and appalled when they realise they are in the minority.
The Brexit result was a lot closer than this election looks set to be, surely it's time for people to stop swearing at and insulting those who voted a different way...and to stop making lazy assumptions and actually try to understand?
This is the result I wanted for sure but I would be equally happy to see the opposition pick itself up and present a credible alternative, which hopefully this result might give them a chance to do.

Nightwatch dont get reported post notifications. They just go to MNHQ wholl address them in the morning.

NW remit is very different to MNHQ moderation.

If theres a thread or poster causing concern do highlight it but it may not be something we can deal with
