Please take a look.

A link, a thread title or something would help @puppyconfetti

puppyconfetti · 17/10/2019 23:54

I'm sorry I have tried but I can't seem to do it on the app. It's the one about labia infusion

OP posts:
BIWI · 17/10/2019 23:56

This is the one

ANightwatcher · 17/10/2019 23:57

Found it. Its already been seen by MNHQ who are happy to let it stand so really NW cant remove it. Do report it if you want them to review it again in the morning

puppyconfetti · 17/10/2019 23:58

It's obviously changed since MNHQ read it. Surely it's not ok to talk about massaging babies genitals?

OP posts:
MrsJoshNavidi · 18/10/2019 00:00

Puppy give it up. No one else is concerned. It's a medical condition and people are discussing treatment.

puppyconfetti · 18/10/2019 00:04

Discussing a medical problem is fine. The way in which it's being discussed is not fine. But yes I will indeed give it up.

OP posts:
ANightwatcher · 18/10/2019 00:05

I'd say it depends on the context. The OP is worried about a medical condition. Shes getting advice & support. I'm not going to delete it as it doesnt fall into NW remit.

As I said do flag it up to MNHQ in the morning for them to look again

puppyconfetti · 18/10/2019 00:08

Context is that you don't need to talk about 'little clitoris' 'little hole' 'little lips' and discuss massaging the area when posting about a problem with a baby girls genitals.

I totally disagree that this post should be left up. It's awful. And just to reiterate for the millionth time, it's not the subject but the disgusting description I object to.

OP posts:
ANightwatcher · 18/10/2019 00:35

You're entitled to your opinion but as I said NW wont be removing the thread

puppyconfetti · 18/10/2019 00:36

That's fair enough, I don't agree but it's your decision. I won't post any further until morning.

@ANightwatcher could you please at least hide the specific post with the most graphic description?

Even if OP’s intent is entirely innocent, we all know there are people that could get off on this. And we all know what kind of people sometimes hang around Mumsnet at night.

@ClaraMumsnet posted at 22.44, having moved the thread.

Not until 23.22 does it get especially graphic.

Clara was probably long gone by then.

puppyconfetti · 18/10/2019 08:38

It wouldn't have been difficult would it?

I'm totally gobsmacked that this thread was allowed to remain. It's awful.

It seems the mods are only interested in whether the OP might be a troll or not. Apparently they’re a long term user. Great, OP’s not a troll, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s providing graphic material for paedophiles to jerk off to. There are a number of ways the OP’s posts could have been phrased and advice still sought without that level of detail. “My daughter has fused labia, I’m feeling awful for not noticing it for so long. I’m concerned about if the hormone cream will carry side effects. Has anyone else got experience of this to reassure me?” really would have done. Shame on Mumsnet for allowing this to stand.

BIWI · 18/10/2019 08:50

I agree with you @puppyconfetti and I'm truly surprised that @ANightwatcher doesn't understand why you were concerned. At the very least, the specific cost could have been edited for now, until MNHQ take a look.

puppyconfetti · 18/10/2019 08:57

Felt like i was banging my head with some posters on the thread. None of them seemed to understand that the content could have been delivered better. So many people who just think this is ok, even NW, it just baffles me. Of course it's not ok. Just use the right words!

I think the troll situation is probably what has blurred the lines actually. Never thought about it until asmuch posted here, but I think it may have been a factor.

I'm wondering how tied NW are though, are they simply not allowed to hide something after MNHQ has ok'd it, even though it clearly developed further, or did they think the posts were ok?

EnlightenedOwl · 18/10/2019 08:59

I was going to report this last night too I think it should have been hidden and checked out. I don't think it should have been left. Something felt off about it tbh

Russell19 · 18/10/2019 09:05

This was so strange.... weirdly graphic.

As pp says not saying poster is a troll, we are saying the language used was not needed.

TottieandMarchpane · 18/10/2019 09:36

Something is wrong with the system when that kind of thing stays up for nine hours despite multiple reports.

Russell19 · 18/10/2019 10:05

@tottieandmarchpane I was thinking the same. @puppyconfetti was trying and trying (rightly so) and was ignored.

Auntyfannybaws · 18/10/2019 10:12

It's been deleted now.
