MIL going to hospital in night

Can't sleep! MIL phoned and left an answer machine msg at 4 30am - she's going to hospital (I assume in an ambulance) because she us in lots of pain. She has no mobile phone so we can't phone her back. We live miles away. What do we do? She lives in a big city so don't even know which hospital she will have gone to?

Could you have a look on google maps and take the closest 3 hospitals to her house and phone them? Ambulances generally go to the closest place.

Is it possible for one of you to get on the road to the town where she is whilst the other finds out in the meantime what hospital she’s in.

Could you try one of her neighbors to see if they know anything?

Thankyou! Hubby has managed to go back to sleep - dont know how! He has the neighbours phone number but I wouldn't want to phone them in the middle of the night. To be honest they aren't close so they might not know anything. Think it will have to be a phone around. This isn't out of the blue - she is elderly and often in pain. Just has never phoned an ambulance in the night. Timing isn't great. We go on a big longhaul holiday on Thursday - been planned for 6 months.
