Battleax, that's like the oft-suggested idea of - if a thread/post has more than x number of unique reports it should be automatically hidden. But they won't do that either for some unexplained reason, despite repeatedly saying "oh that sounds like an idea to consider".

I think it was about 2009 that idea was first suggested.

A cynical person might think that MNHQ like having active threads at night, and more fuckwits bumping threads means more clicks

Well there are posters who AREN'T READING THE THREAD posting.

I feel sorry for MNetters in different time zones to the UK. The boards are quiet enough during the night (insomniac and night worker, me) without this sort of shit seizing them up.
