Why was the dissertation survey thread deleted?

I just completed a survey and went back to tell the op I had completed it, but the thread has been deleted.

Why is this? It has made me feel a bit uneasy.

The OP said the response had been excellent and the daughter no longer needed anyone else to take part so she asked for the thread to be taken down.
