Hi nightwatch, I don't agree that this thread needs deleting - op was posting primarily about how she felt her very feisty nan educated her about avoiding sexual exploitation.

She hasn't got the hang of a few things but posters have put those things straight.

There have been a number of personal stories told on the thread which will have helped explain why these things need to be discussed very carefully with sensitive language.

She has expressly said that sexual assault is never the victim's fault iirc.
And this is the most important point - that it is always the perpetrator's fault.

I agree the other thread is NOT nasty and shouldn't be deleted. Yes this is a highly emotive subject, especially at the moment which I think has caused a lot of knee jerk reactions about it.
