My cat's middle name is Marie, my Mum previous cats middle name was Willow. Does your cat have a middle name? What is it?

Bastard.

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 22/10/2026 12:43

Yes and often used instead of their first name.
Fatty or fatso depending on how heavily they land on me. 🤣

Yes, it’s Boo. Louie-Boo. Also known as Hullaballouie, Louie-Booie-Bear, The Littlest Dinosaur, and the only 24 Carat Labubu.

Penelope was meant to be Penelope Pickle, so when I went to the vet with her and Cheddar, they would call out Cheddar & Pickle. Since Cheds died six months later it didn’t really stick and the name Penelope suited her ladyship much better.

Bobbins. Because her brain is made of absolute bobbins.
Gets altered to Bobs, Bobster etc depending on the time.

Her brother occasionally has the second name Cat. As in Mister Cat, Bad Cat, Bloody Cat, very very very rarely Good Cat. His first name changes, currently it is Pablo due to his gangster behaviour.

Matt is Mattie Boo. Sometimes Mattie Boo Surname. Big dominant tabby.
Socks is Socksie Kitten or occasionally just the Kitten. She is about six so not a kitten at all but is a timid little thing.
They are also referred to as my son, my daughter, and my childrens. I quite often come in and ask “where be my childrens?” 😻

SwedishEdith · 22/10/2026 21:37

No but my childhood rabbit was a knight.

Octavia64 · 22/10/2026 21:39

Yes

his middle name is al Assad (which is Arabic for the lion)

FatFilledTrottyPuss · 22/10/2026 21:39

Cat 1 is called Haroldycatpuss or just Harold in a Japanese accent.
Cat 2 is Walter Button Cat Puss Fat Puss or Walter Button in a French accent.

Yes, I don't ever feel I can change their first names (mine have all been rescues), so I always give them middle names.

And those middle names are always full names in themselves, e.g. Mittens Harry Potter Smith.

It's great fun at the vet.

No, but she is usually called little baby Nala because she is very small!

cottonbutterfly · 22/10/2026 23:10

Yes. Her full name is tulip k cat. She says the k stands for killer. It’s actually Karen. Her brother is Henry c cat. The c stands for cat.

We lost our old boy in May.
My OH gave him Aloysius as a middle name. No idea why.

Puppylucky · 22/10/2026 23:21

StoneFoxMama · 22/10/2026 23:30

One of ours kind of has a middle name- Guy Martin, but he's French, so Gee Mar'tan. But his real name is Serge.
